Various types of technologies are used for mining, transporting, crushing and screening operations, which are briefly described below. As mining and transporting operation are an integral part of the stone crushing industry, it is briefly discussed below:
Any kind of crusher and mill is more than just a crushing machine. Sand making equipments mainly include impact crusher, jaw crusher,hammer crusher,cone crusher and vibrating feeder.They are usually based on the principle of some force and combine with other kinds of effect to reach the crushing purpose. Therefore, the applied force of the crushing machinery on ore is complex. In order to facilitate the analysis and research of the applied force, we often just consider the main force and take the effect of other force only as an incidentally reference.
The applied force of the crushing machinery can be divided into the crushing, split, breaking, grinding, impact, etc. Of course, it is also related to the actual situation and the mechanical properties of the crushing materials. As with crushing, we should consider the compressive strength of the materials; for the split, attention should be paid to the tensile strength of the materials; as with break, attention should be paid to the bending strength of the materials; when grinding materials, we should consider its shear resistance strength.
After understanding the mechanical properties of the raw materials and the applied force situation of the crusher, it is necessary to pay attention to that the applying mode of the mining crusher applied force should be suited to the nature of the ore, which will have a good effect. As with the brittle rock, bending and splitting is the more favorable, if using grinding there will too much fine powder in the product. As with materials with higher toughness and stickness, using grinding way is the more reasonable. As a result of the various mechanical properties of the raw materials, the kind of crushing machinery is also various.
The mined stones are transported to the crusher sites using vehicles of various capacities starting from bullock carts, trailors up to automatic dumpers. Most of the transportation vehicles have hydraulically operated tilting arrangement for easy and faster unloading of stones at the crusher sites.
The capacity range of smaller vehicle like trailors is about 4 tonnes whereas bigger dumpers can carry in the range of 15 â€“ 20 tonnes materials per trip. The loading operations are manual in smaller vehicles and are mostly mechanical using material handling equipment for large dumpers and trucks. There are no continuous material handling system like long belt conveyors or trolley type conveyors to carry stones from mines to crusher sites, even in the largest stone crushers in the country and therefore transportation by vehicle is most common.
