Some is only 0.02%. Most actual recovery rate of the ore beneficiation is more than 80%. The concentrate grade obtained is from 45% to 54%. The tailings grade is about 0.02%. In the current industrial production of the molybdenum, we mainly use the molybdenite concentrate for smelting and use the oxidizing roasting to extract the pure molybdenum trioxide and restore the molybdenum metal powder.
The harmful impurities in the molybdenum concentrate, such as copper, lead, tin, arsenic, phosphorus, calcium, silica, etc., not only affect the quality of the molybdenum products, but also affect the molybdenum smelting technology and equipment, and cause pollution of the environment. Therefore, we should strictly control the beneficiation process to greatly improve the industrial value of the molybdenum deposit.
