The inhibitor such as lime, cyanide, and zinc sulfate can be added to the mixing flotation process of the mill and the flotation machine together. Sometimes, in order to suppress the zinc and iron sulfide ore, it needs to add a small amount of the sodium or sulfur dioxide in the selected assignment section. However, these agents must be used with caution, because they also have the effect of inhibiting the galena flotation.
The choice and dosage of the mixing flotation collectors for flotation machine process is not only very important for the mixing flotation operation, but also plays a key role in the follow-up mineral separation operation. In the flotation process, we generally use the xanthate as the collector. Most of the unrecovered galena will be floating upward in the subsequent zinc flotation process, thereby polluting the zinc concentrate and causing the economic losses.
Typically, the dosage of the inhibitor is small, between 0.02kg/t to 0.06kg/t. The excessive use will cause it difficult to separate the copper and the lead, and need to add a large number of inhibitors constantly, which may cause the floating mineral suppressed, and pollute the lead and copper concentrates.
