The Wisconsin running back was announced Monday night as one of a trio of Wholesale Real Madrid jersey finalists for this year's Heisman Trophy, joining Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota and Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Gordon, the Big Ten's Offensive Player of the Year, had a terrific season, and currently stands as the nation's leading rusher with 2,336 yards on the ground in 13 games Manchester City home jersey for the Badgers. He became just the 17th player in FBS history to rush for 2,000 yards in a single season. His current total stands as the fourth-most in a single season in FBS history, and he's fewer than 100 shy of the third-best total, held Wholesale Manchester United jersey by USC great Marcus Allen. The other two guys ahead of Gordon are Central Florida's Kevin Smith and Oklahoma State's Barry Sanders.
Gordon leads the country with 179.9 yards per game and 26 rushing touchdowns. He has broken the 100-yard mark in all but two of the Badgers' games this season and hit the end zone — either rushing or receiving — in all but one.

Gordon, though, is unlikely to win the Heisman. The Juventus jersey 2015 consensus opinion is that Mariota will run away with the award. The Ducks quarterback has also had a remarkable season, throwing for 3,783 yards and 38 touchdowns, compared to just two interceptions. He has added 669 yards and 14 touchdowns rushing.
Plus, Mariota cemented his status as Heisman favorite with a terrific performance in the Pac-12 Championship Game, passing for 313 yards and accounting for five total touchdowns in the Ducks' 51-13 blowout of Arizona. Gordon, meanwhile, was shut down for only 76 rushing yards and no scores in the Badgers' embarrassing 59-0 loss to Ohio State in the Big Ten title game.
While only three finalists were named this season, there's a good chance a couple more Big Ten players will be among the vote-getters for the award. Indiana running back Tevin Coleman had almost as amazing a year as Gordon, just doing it on a much lower-profile and much worse team. Coleman was the 18th player in FBS history to rush for 2,000 yards in a season, finishing with 2,036 yards. Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett also deserves plenty of consideration, turning in perhaps the best season of any quarterback not named Mariota. Barrett passed for 2,834 yards, rushed for 938 yards and accounted for a total of 45 touchdowns, surpassing Drew Brees' single-season Big Ten record.
