Raymond mill (Raymond roller mill) is applicable to the grinding and processing of more than 280 kinds of non-flammable and non-explosive materials with hardness less than 7 and humidity less than 6% in mining, construction, chemical industry and metallurgy, such as barite, calcite, feldspar, talcum, marble, limestone, clay, and glass. The fineness of the finished products can be adjusted from 100 meshes to 325 meshes according to requirements. It is the mainly and widely used grinding machine.Ore-dressing equipments mainly include cement mill,ball mill,rotary dryer,flotation machine,etc.

Raymond mill is dedicated barite grinding mill and extensively applied in the industry; while, inappropriate application in the initial stage will make bad influences on the production efficiency and service life; then in the initial running stage, we need to pay special attention to the following points.

1. Faster wear

Because of the influences of processing, assembly and adjustment factors, the friction surface of new milling machine parts is rough, contact area of the mating surfaces is small and the confined conditions of the surface is uneven. During operation, the irregularities parts on the surface occur mutual friction and generate metal debris; these metal debris continues to be rubbed as abrasive materials, accelerating the wear of mating surface parts. Thus, it is easy to cause parts (especially the mating surfaces) wear in the run-in period.

2. Poor lubrication

The tolerance clearance between new assembly parts is small, and because of the assembly and other reasons, it is difficult to ensure the gap averaged, so that the lubricant (grease) is difficult to form average oil film on the friction surface to prevent wear, which reduce lubrication performance and result in abnormal wear of mechanical.

3. Looseness

New processing and assembly components often have deviation in the geometric shape and fitting dimensions; in the initial stage, because of the alternating load such as impact, vibration, etc., as well as factors such as heat and deformation, coupled with the excessive wear and tear, the original fastening parts are easily loose.

4. Leakage

Influenced by the mechanical loosening, vibration and heating, the sealing surface of the machine and pipe joint will be thrown leakage.

5. Manipulation mistakes

Insufficient knowledge about the structure and function of machine will cause the manipulation mistakes and lead to the failure, even cause mechanical accident.
